Kavan focuses his practice on personal injury litigation (including wrongful death and medical malpractice). Prior to the formation of Ehrenclou & Grover LLC in May of 2011, Kavan was a solo practitioner in Lawrenceville, Georgia, maintaining a law firm that he founded in 2005 when he began the practice of law. Kavan has represented hundreds of clients in matters in pre-litigation and in litigation and has handled approximately thirty-five jury trials and countless motions hearings, bench trials, mediations, settlement conferences, and appeals.

Kavan was named by Thomson Reuters® and Atlanta Magazine® to the Georgia Rising Stars list as one of the top up--and--coming attorneys in Georgia for nine years (2012 - 2020), an honor which is bestowed upon less than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state. In 2021 and 2022, Kavan was named to the Georgia Super Lawyers list.

Kavan has also been rated AV Preeminent (4.9 out of 5.0) by Martindale-Hubbell®. An AV Preeminent rating is a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings are based on a combination of achieving a Very High General Ethical Standards rating and a Legal Ability numerical rating (based on performance in five key areas: Legal Knowledge, Analytical Capabilities, Judgment, Communication Ability, and Legal Experience).

Kavan has also been rated a 10.0 Superb Attorney by Avvo.com® and been awarded the Avvo Clients' Choice Award.

Kavan has been a presenter at multiple seminars including a seminar hosted by the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers at which Kavan spoke on the topic of appellate case law and a personal injury seminar at which Kavan spoke about a $7,500,000.00 jury verdict (the 12th highest in the State of Georgia in 2018 according to the Daily Report) obtained by the lawyers at Ehrenclou & Grover LLC and co-counsel Ketan Patel.
