Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

Being charged with driving under the influence can have a great impact on your life as well as the lives of your family members. It can negatively affect all aspects of your life including your work, your right to drive and your personal relationships. Our attorneys have a successful track record for defending driving under the influence cases throughout the state of Georgia. We understand how stressful a DUI charge can be for you and your loved ones.

The consequences of a driving under the influence conviction include fines, imprisonment, mandatory educational courses and/or alcohol addiction treatment, and license suspensions. Additionally, you may acquire a criminal record which can prove troublesome down the road when seeking employment or applying for a professional license.

According to Georgia state law, if you do not request an appeal of an administrative license suspension within 10 DAYS of a DUI arrest, your driver’s license will be suspended after 30 days. We can represent you by appealing the administrative license suspension, representing you at the hearing and ultimately helping you keep your license.

We fully investigate your DUI charge and challenge any evidence that is challengeable. We analyze the circumstances of your arrest, including the reason or reasons for the inital stop of your vehicle, and any field sobriety tests that were performed. We also look for ways to challenge the result or the admissibility of the breath or blood test, if one of these tests were administered. We will do our best to get your charges dismissed or reduced, and are often successful, but results will vary. Prosecutors in Georgia tend to aggressively prosecutive DUI charges.

We will work hard to put your driving under the influence charge behind you with as little impact to your life as possible. With the legal expertise of our attorneys on your side, you will have a criminal defense lawyer who knows how to deal with the prosecutors, police officers, and judges to obtain the best result possible in your case.
